The mission of the All-Star Hockey Classic is two-fold. We aim to not only raise awareness and funds for the Make-A-Wish® Vermont and Make-A-Wish® New Hampshire, but to also provide a venue for the finest high school senior hockey players from Vermont and New Hampshire to combine their talents and represent their States in this annual All-Star Hockey event.
The four teams (VT Men, VT Women, NH Men, NH Women) consist of 20 senior athletes from state-wide high school and prep schools. Vermont teams are selected from the Essex Rotary Club’s all star hockey games which take place in March, and the New Hampshire teams are selected by a process of nomination by coaches and invitation from the All-Star Hockey Classic committee.
This event serves as one last chance for these top high school athletes to showcase their hockey skills before heading off to college or pursuing their dreams. The All-Star Hockey Classic games provide players, families, friends, and fans the rewarding opportunity to help fulfill wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses. We are pleased to provide these student athletes with the opportunity to “give back” to those whose lives have been much more difficult than their own – a unique partnership which adds a special dimension to this twin state athletic event.
